Looking for Asian Cuisine? Seribu Rasa (A Thousand Flavors) Restaurant which located in Menteng should be your right place to visit.. Seribu Rasa offers diverse luscious dishes from around Southeast Asia, there are Thai, Singaporean, Malaysian, and Indonesian foods here.. Seribu Rasa is managed under one management with Penang Bistro..

Peaceful atmosphere, quite a cozy with a traditional Balinese ambiance.. I love the fragrance here, so relaxing..

We started with this tasty Kerabu Mangga Melayu (24K), a spicy sour mango salad, a thinly shredded fresh mango strips dressed with zesty spicy sour sauce and served with crispy rice noodle and fried dried shrimps..

Seafood Cakwe (31K), is seafood stuffed crullers coated with sweet sour sauce.. It was so crunchy, you can hear the crackly bite..

Next, Mie Jawa (36K), traditional Javanese style fried noodle, spicy with a tint of sweetness, nice n delicious..

Overall, the foods are nice, the ambiance is lovely and cozy, worth a visit...

Chewy Junior

A friend of my brother gave us this one pack Chewy Junior.. It is not a donut and is not a cream puff, but it topped like donut and filled like cream puff.. I think it is a fusion between the two..

He gave us a dozen various types of it, the chocolate version had a chocolate cream filling, while the jelly topped had a vanilla cream filling instead.. The texture of puffs is unique, chewy and soft..

I guess this is the peanut butter one, bit crispy on the top and filled with peanut cream.. the filling is generous enough.. I like the cream oozing out of the chewy puff when you bite it..

About the price, buy a dozen various types of chewy junior for 75K, a half dozen for 42K, and 9 pieces for 59K..

Pastis

This was our second visit to Pastis.. Still remember our previous visit, one of my friend claimed that their Green Fried Rice was so delicious.. Hmm feel curious? So last Saturday, we gave it a try..

The entrance.. Needless to say, the place is very neatly arranged and hygienic..

With an open kitchen in the middle of dining area..

Nice cutlery set

When you sit down, you get this basket of breads.. I love this bread, they soo soft...

The drinks..

Sherley Temple (17K), non-alcoholic mixed drink with a taste of cherry and orange.. it's refreshing..

Hot Peach Tea (20K)

They serve quite a good variety of food, raging from Asian selections, pasta, steak, and more..

This their delicious Green Fried Rice - Nasi Goreng Ij0 (40K), this fried rice is spicy enough with a sauteed sausage, meatball, and shredded chicken with a tasty condiments, more likely to a crazy rice - nasi gila.. Seems this is one of the crowd’s favorites.

The next dish is John Dory Fillet (65K), pan fried dory fish with roasted potatoes side dish..
The fish is very fresh, tender and flavorful meat.. Actually for the side dish, we can opt for french fries, mashed potato, wedges, or roasted potato..

I had a great meal there, and it's worth another visit..(^_^)v

The Red Duck - revisit

I craved for something soupy for dinner on cold rainy nite, so we ended up with The Red Duck @ FX...

We started with this Xiao Long Bao (14.8K), it tasted good but E said it less soupy..

The noodle here has two variants, a small and a flat noodle.. Sadly, I was run out of the flat one..
And we also can choose either dry or soup base noddle..

E choosed a Dry Roast Duck Noodle (34K), yellow springy noodle drenched in black sauce and the duck was solid thick, tasty and tender..

And I tried their soup base Soy Chicken Noodle (28K), the noodle was nicely done, but it was not really my liking and just a normal dish.. I think the dry base is better than soup one..

Social House - revisit

Back to SoHo again hehe.. I spent my lazy Thursday afternoon (it was public holiday) with E to SoHo.. Social House (SoHo) become my fave place to visit lately, I just revisit it again and again..

Never get bored, coz I love their semi open air ambiance, where we can view Bundaran HI from.. This time we just chilled out in their lounge..

Enjoyed their signature Homemade Grandma's Iced Lemon Tea (25K), ice lemon tea with lemon sorbet, it's really refreshing..

In their lounge we can only order tapas, pizza, and other snacks.. Can't order foods from their restaurant menus..

We shared this New Mexico Chicken Quesadillas (50K)..

Definitely worth for revisit again and again (^_^)

Crispy Melt Burger (41.5K), filled with beef grilled patty, melted cheese, and mushroom.. E found out the burger was really good, much better than he expected hehe..

The double size looks like.. Ultra Crispy Melt Burger (52.5K), filled the same as single size, but more filling inside with two beef patties.. The burger itself is very tangy and juicy..The prices above is already include the iced lemon tea and curly fries..

LOEWY

Last Sunday, I met up with some friends to LOEWY for dinner.. LOEWY is one of the happening places lately which located in Oakwood Building at Kuningan area..

The interior is a mix of historic white brick wall, wooden flooring, and bright light give a sparse industrial-style to their decor.. It's a good looking place..

LOEWY is typically French in style restaurant and bar that serves Asian and European food, cocktails, and wine selections..

This one of their cocktail, Rapsberry Cheesecake Tini (75K)

Next, what we ate..

Beef Burger (85K)

Chicken Confit (80K), well braised chicken with sauteed potatoes and veggies..

Escargot (40K)

Garoupa Fish with Soybean Sauce (65K), served with steamed rice and its really nice from their Asian food selections..

Lasagna (70K), looked so creamy..

Mini Croque Monsieur Campagnard (20K).. A little disappointed with my ordered.. I never expect this mini croque will come like simply wheat toast with smoked beef and cheese on it, not a hot ham and melted cheese on grilled sandwich huhu.. But maybe because it was the mini size, I don't know about their normal Croque which cost 80K, it should be better than this..

The dinner is not complete without dessert, so we ended with these desserts..

Melted Triple Chocolate Cake (30K), is their best dessert, a must dessert when you visit LOEWY.. Actualy this dessert should come up with three chocolate choices; dark, milk, and white chocolate, but you can ask what you prefered to.. This time we asked for two whites and one dark, but the white always be my fave..

Chocolate Souffle (30K), served with chocolate sauce and chocolate ice cream..

LOEWY is a rite place for your free time, leisure and relaxation.. I've been here several times, and I've always been impressed with the ambiance of the place.. It's worth trying out

The Apartment

I knew this place from my friend who said that there's a new hype place to hang out and just opened recently @ Kuningan area called The Apartment.. This Apartment is not the “Apartment” where you can live in, it's a place to dine.. The Apartment is a bistro decorated like a living space..

Each section of the restaurant is decorated like different spaces in an apartment; bedroom, bathroom, library, kitchen, etc..

Of course from its name, we can guess it offers homey feel..

We seated in library, surrounded by bookshelves..

The menu resembles a newspaper..

Back to the food, we ordered..

Chicken Surprise Sandwich (58K), sandwich with grilled chicken breast, cheese, and veggie served with french fries..

Apartment Spicy Spaghetti (68K), spicy aglio olio spaghetti with bacon.. It tasted pretty alright, hot and tasty.. This listed as one of chef's recommendation..

Penne Pesto Chicken (58K), penne tossed with grilled chicken and mushroom in a simple cream pesto sauce.. The cream was just enough... This was the best dish on our dinner..

The attraction is not only the food, but the restaurant itself. It’s very beautiful, furnished with cosiness and comfort designs.

Here, we've got mail.. No, of course not.. Open it, this was our bill.. Creative and unique yaa

The Apartment is exceptionally relaxed. It crates the perfect atmosphere for any individual to hang out. But for the price here is not cheap if you treat it as normal restaurant, it costs you more for the nice ambiance and unique decor..

Pasta de Waraku

Getting confused about what to eat? Italian or Japanese foods? Or maybe wants both? This can be your choice.. Pasta de Waraku serves an infusion foods between Japanese taste into Italian dishes like; pasta, gratin, and pizza..

Interesting foods display in front of their restaurant.. It's really tempting and whet your appetite while you waiting to be seated...

Big menu book shows tempting and many variation of foods.. You will be spoilt for choices hehe..

Neatly arranged dining area, casual and nice ambiance..

With unique tomato lamps hanging up there..

We tried their Pizza Toast menus, its costs 28K for all flavors and all pizza toast come with a small bowl of salad..

Chicken Mushroom Pizza Toast, bread toast topped with chicken, mushroom, melted mozarella cheese and mayonaise..

Pepper Sausage Pizza Toast, bread toast topped with beef sausage, chopped green pepper, melted mozarella cheese, and tomato sauce..

We also ordered their pasta, we were asked if we wanted spaghetti or fettuccine for the pasta. We opted spaghetti for both.

Sukiyaki Pasta (68K), it's spaghetti on sukiyaki soup with sliced beef, mushroom, tofu, and had a poached egg with still runny yolk on top which made the soup tastier.. The soup was nice and this was listed on their most popular dishes of the month..

Crab Cream Croquette (68K), spaghetti served with fried crab cream croquette with bolognese sauce.. The croquette was crispy on outside and creamy inside.. It's really good...

Since we haven't tried their pizza yet and they still have many more unique pasta selection, so I think I'll be back later to try it.. The price here is a bit pricey, but I think its suit with their delicious taste..
